The “Liv Delicious” movement is all about genuinely loving the life you live. It is the spark, aliveness and fun in life. When you make a bread, salt is actually less than 1% of all ingredients, but it is 100% of the flavor. Work, Family, Dreams and Goals would have no flavor if there wouldn’t be just a little bit of fun in it. (Not crazy sex-drugs-&-rock’n’roll kind of fun. Liv Delicious fun is lively, warm, pleasing and, a little cheeky. It expands our comfort zone, so we can be comfortable here and there.
I named this whole project “Liv Delicious” , because I wanted to create a happy life for myself. Growing up in a war, being bullied, sad, and scared, my life was bitter, sour and ugly. I wanted different kind of life – Delicious one. I could have waited to become perfect, lean English, make million bucks or marry Brad Pitt. But I didn’t. You don’t have to wait either, after all Brad Pitt is taken and if you practice living a Delicious life now, imagine how fun will it be once you have that million?
“Liv” is spelled without an “E”- as a symbolic sign of not being perfect. The missing “E” also reminds me about not knowing how to spell and about my phobia of speaking English which I finally overcame in 2001. (Thank you EFT! And yes, I did have a phobia, I even fainted. Twice.)
On the logo, “Delicious” grows out of the open heart, symbolizing what happens when you keep an open heart. Open your heart and write your new story. Thus handwritten Delicious. This logo first came to me in a dream. Now, its here – so… dreams do come true.
A friend of mine wanted to put my life into words and while staring at me she wrote “Live Deliciously.” She said… “Helena, this is you! But you don’t speak English!” Then she crossed out the “E” in Live and “ly” in Deliciously. Thus “Liv Delicious” was born.
“Liv Delicious”? Helena, do you know how to spell the word “live”?
Now I do!
Once upon a time, I didn’t. I was even afraid to speak (or write) English. But I did it! I got over my fears – and now “Liv Delicious” is proof that you can have a great life, too – even if you are not perfect. The word “LIV” has much deeper meaning for me. It is a tribute to overcoming phobia of speaking English and a memory to how brave and willing I was to address what was under that.
What does it mean to Liv a Delicious life?
It means designing the life that you love. It starts with designing the moments you life in the life you have. Moments that you are excited about. Tjhat bring you aliveness, that feel right to you. Not to me. Not to him. Not to them. To you. And yes, loving, genuinely loving the person you see in the mirror.
Why would I want to Liv Delicious?
Why not?
What is the alternative?
Live Undelicious? Don’t even go there!
It’s true. So, HOW do we do that?
Here are 3 basic simple steps
1. Stop doing what doesn’t work for you! Just stop!
(Stop hiding your power Stop playing small. Stop criticizing others. Stop criticizing yourself. Stop blaming.. Stop whining, complaining, restraining & weight gaining. Nuff said. You know
what you do that doesn’t work for you… so… stop it!)
2. Take a breath relax
(Relax. Slow down. Rest. Let go. Think a little, feel a little. Be present right here, right now. Take a breather. Don’t rush. Chill out. Smell the roses or plant the roses… Nuff said. You know what brings you peace, what gets you centered… so… do that)
3. Take a step.
(Towards where you want to go – follow your Delicious “Yes” inner guide. It usually feels ‘right’. You know what brings your aliveness…)
Who is the most Delicious person you’ve ever met?
Great question!
In 2007 I made a commitment to meet 100 Delicious people. By January 17th I already met so many that I stopped counting! People from store cashiers to world champions. I recognize Delicious spark in all of them.
Who did you meet today who was Delicious?
How about the one in the mirror?
So, who is the most Delicious person?
Every Delicious person is the most Delicious person to me.
