3 reasons to stop pressuring your Future Self

Future

Hooray! It’s a New Year!
I will loose weight, go to the gym every day! I will clear my debt. I will fix those things around the house. I will stop procrastinating. I will spend more time with family and friends. I will quit smoking. I will quit drinking. I will be a  better parent….
Really?
When the calendar turns into a New Year, you will magically became someone else and change for better? Not even in a fairy tale, my dear.

Even Cinderella turned into her real self. Into who she was before the glitz and glam of the few hour long party.

Promising too much and requesting too much of yourself is a pressure that leads no where. Here are the top 3 reasons to stop it?

1. No Pain. No Pain.
New Year Resolutions and Decisions are meant to cut off the “old” you and force in the “new” you. Cutting hurts. Natural, smooth and inspired transition feels light, open and liberating to the soul. The Future you is like a child, the more loving you are, the more harmony you will have.

2. Grow Organically.
Just as you don’t actually see the way gras grows, you cannot see the way you grow. The stories of “overnight” transformations are usually of the downfall. Growth takes time and patience. It happens by itself when the circumstances are right. Create the circumstances. Grass needs air, water & sunshine – all in the right amounts.
What do you need to grow?

3. Inspire instead.
Inspiration, motivation and drive and contagious, fun and desirable. How much fun is to see a child inspired to paint, to sing, to learn how to ride a bicycle. So motivating. So heart warming.
Watching a child that is pressured into the same activities, hurts. Everyone. A child, a pressurer, and everyone watching.

Doing all 3 activities will “make you” grow into more patient, more kind and more present future self.
Try it during the 2013 and you will see, your 2014 Future Self will just BE. Real. Kind. Sweet. Forgiving. Wonderful. More attractive and more desirable. Promise.

Bellow, share the ways you have noticed that the Future self is actually Todays self and that love works much better. Or if you think that pressure works, please share your experience too.

Love and Happy New Year!
Pain-free:-)
